Soft-Start Electric Valve for Compressed Air, APR, SYNTESI® Series

The soft start valve ensures safe and controlled filling of pneumatic systems with compressed air by operating in two stages. When a control signal is applied, the shut-off valve opens and air flows gradually through the throttling valve, allowing the system to reach around 40–60% of the supply pressure before switching to full flow through the entire cross-section. This prevents sudden surges of air that could cause shock loads and mechanical stress on actuators and machine components. Once the control signal is removed, the valve closes and the system is safely vented. Designed for reliability and protection, the valve is available in sizes SY1 and SY2 with BSP connections from 1/8" to 1", and additional outlet connections of BSP 1/8" (SY1) or BSP 1/4" (SY2) located at both the front and rear. It operates within a supply pressure range of 3–10 bar and a temperature range of -10°C to +50°C, offering nominal flow rates from 1250 l/min up to 4800 l/min at 6.3 bar (Δp = 1 bar). This makes it an ideal solution for installations requiring smooth system start-up, enhanced equipment longevity, and dependable performance in demanding industrial environments.
