DIN 3015 pipe clamps – video transcript
Good morning, my name is Michał Mróz.
Today we’re going to talk about clamps designed for fast, easy, neat and durable fixing of pipes, hoses and cables in various branches of industry.
A standard clamp consists of a weld plate, an insert, a cover plate and fixing bolts.
DIN 3015 clamp versions
These clamps are manufactured according to DIN 3015 standard and come in three versions:
- standard version type 100 and 101
- heavy version type 201
- twin version type 301
Pipe clamps – materials
Our product offering includes clamps made of polypropylene in green colour, operating at temperatures from -30 to 90 degrees Celsius, in black colour, made of flame-retardant polyamide, which meets fire safety requirements for railway vehicles.
Temperature range for this clamp is from -40 to 180 degrees Celsius.
Clamps made of rubber with working temperatures from 40 to 80 degrees Celsius and clamps made of aluminium that can be used at temperatures above 350 degrees Celsius.
The clamps are available for diameters ranging from 6 to 219 mm.




DIN 3015 pipe clamp installation
As for the mounting of these clamps.
The clamps are secured to the structure by welding or bolted down. Then a pipe is set in place and
other elements of the clamp are attached. Remember not to weld clamps with a pre-mounted insert. There are many additional elements allowing other mounting methods for example:
- twin bottom plates,
- multiple bottom plates,
- angled plates,
- or bridge weld plates.
Mounting rails for several clamps. Once the rail is welded or bolted to the structure, you just slide special nuts into the rail and tighten the clamp to the nuts using the fixing bolts. It’s a very convenient installation method because the clamp can be precisely positioned before final tightening.
Stacked assembly
And these are bolts and plates for multi-level installation.
It’s a stacked assembly that looks like this, a clamp is placed over another clamp. During installation it is important to keep proper distance between the clamps. Bends in the pipes should be supported as close to the bends and as possible.
After tightening to a specified torque, the two halves of the clamp insert should not be in contact.
