No, although a rubber mallet can be optionally used if minor leaks occur at the connection or for replacing the seal with a new one.
Can TW couplings be used for food substances?
We do not recommend using TW couplings for foodstuffs. Due to their nature and construction, TW couplings do not meet the standards for couplings intended for food substances.
Do you always need to use GSD profiled seals?
No, TWF or TWO profiled seals can be used instead of GSD coupling seals, but we recommend checking the tightness of the connection each time.
What temperatures can TW couplings operate at?
According to DIN 28450 standard, TW couplings can operate at temperatures up to +65°C. If they need to be used at higher temperatures, it is necessary to consult Tubes International's Technical Department.
