Is the STORZ Firefighter Union Wrench, Steel, Size ABC compatible with all A (110), B (75), and C (52) Storz couplings?

Yes. The STORZ Firefighter Union Wrench, Steel, Size ABC is designed specifically for STORZ fire hose couplings in sizes A (110), B (75), and C (52) and is therefore compatible with those coupling sizes. Its robust steel construction and ergonomic plastic handle provide a secure, non-slip grip and reliable torque for engaging and tightening A (110), B (75) and C (52) Storz connections during demanding operations.

Can I use the STORZ Firefighter Union Wrench, Steel, Size ABC to tighten or loosen worn or corroded A (110), B (75), and C (52) Storz couplings safely?

Yes — the STORZ Firefighter Union Wrench, Steel, Size ABC is designed for safe tightening and loosening of A (110), B (75) and C (52) Storz couplings in typical field conditions. Its robust steel construction provides the required strength to handle seized or corroded couplings, while the ergonomic, non-slip plastic handle improves grip and control during high-torque operations. However, for heavily corroded or severely worn couplings exercise caution: if the coupling is structurally compromised (cracks, warped lugs or stripped threads) using force can cause failure or injury. In such cases, isolate the connection, apply penetrating lubricant and gentle, incremental torque; if the coupling doesn’t move or shows damage, replace it rather than forcing it. Always wear appropriate PPE and follow your department’s safety procedures and manufacturer recommendations when working on corroded fittings.
