What is the maximum operating pressure and temperature range of the SPEEDFIT Aluminum Air Distribution Box?

The SPEEDFIT Aluminum Air Distribution Box has a maximum operating (working) pressure of 10 bar at +23°C and 7 bar at +70°C. Its operating temperature range is -20°C to +70°C.

How do I install the SPEEDFIT Aluminum Air Distribution Box and use the included 1/2″ plugs for different piping configurations?

Install the SPEEDFIT Aluminum Air Distribution Box as follows: 1. Select mounting location: choose a stable, accessible spot near your pneumatic components, protected from extreme heat or corrosive environments. Ensure clearance for piping and access to the plugs. 2. Mount the box: secure the SPEEDFIT Aluminum Air Distribution Box to the surface using appropriate fasteners for the substrate (anchors/screws), keeping it level and vibration-minimized. 3. Prepare piping: cut and deburr tubing or pipe ends. Use compatible SPEEDFIT fittings or other approved connectors rated for the box’s working pressure (up to 10 bar at +23°C; 7 bar at +70°C). 4. Configure ports with 1/2″ plugs: the set includes two 1/2″ plugs for flexible layout. Use the plugs to close unused 1/2″ ports when you don’t require those connections. Tighten plugs securely (hand-tight plus appropriate wrench turn) using thread sealant or PTFE tape if required by your fittings to ensure an airtight seal. 5. Connect active lines: attach supply and branch lines to the remaining ports per your system design. Confirm each connection is properly seated and tightened. 6. Pressure and temperature considerations: operate within -20°C to +70°C and the specified pressure limits. At higher temperatures, reduce maximum pressure accordingly (7 bar at +70°C). 7. Test: gradually pressurize the system, check for leaks at all connections and plugs, and re-tighten if necessary. Verify correct airflow distribution and functionality. 8. Maintenance: periodically inspect the SPEEDFIT Aluminum Air Distribution Box and plugs for wear, corrosion, and tightness; replace components as needed to maintain reliable operation.
