Is the Pneumatic Hose Connector with Male Thread and Protective Spring suitable for hoses made of soft plastics and rated for 18 bar working pressure?

Yes. The Pneumatic Hose Connector with Male Thread and Protective Spring is explicitly engineered for use with hoses made of soft plastics and is rated to withstand working pressures up to 18 bar. Its nickel‑plated brass construction provides durable mechanical strength and corrosion resistance, while the integrated protective spring prevents kinking and premature wear—ensuring a secure, long‑lasting connection and reliable performance under the specified 18 bar working pressure.

Can the Pneumatic Hose Connector with Male Thread and Protective Spring be used with other hose materials and different pressure ratings?

Pneumatic Hose Connector with Male Thread and Protective Spring is specifically engineered for use with hoses made of soft plastics, as stated in the description. Its integrated protective spring and design focus on preventing kinking and wear in soft plastic hoses, and its materials and construction (nickel‑plated brass, precise threading) are optimized for that application. Use with other hose materials: while physically possible to attach hoses of different materials (e.g., rubber, reinforced PVC), compatibility is not guaranteed by the product description. Different hose materials can have varying outer diameters, wall stiffness, and surface characteristics that may affect sealing, clamping security, and the effectiveness of the protective spring. Before using with another material, verify dimensional fit (inner/outer diameters), ensure a compatible clamp or fitting method, and test for secure sealing. Use with different pressure ratings: the connector is rated for working pressures up to 18 bar. Using it in systems that operate at or below 18 bar is within the stated safe range. It should not be used in applications exceeding 18 bar, and for pressures near the limit, confirm that the hose material, clamps, and overall assembly are also rated for that pressure and for the intended safety margins. Recommendation: if you plan to use other hose types or different operating pressures, consult the hose manufacturer’s specifications and perform compatibility and pressure tests, or choose a connector explicitly specified for the hose material and required pressure.
