Is the BSPT Male Threaded End, AISI 304 Stainless Steel, CNP Type compatible with both rubber and plastic industrial hoses?

Yes. The BSPT Male Threaded End, AISI 304 Stainless Steel, CNP Type is explicitly designed for use with both rubber and plastic industrial hoses. Made from high‑quality AISI 304 stainless steel, it offers strong corrosion resistance and durability for demanding environments. The precision tapered BSPT thread ensures a tight, secure connection, and the extended hose tail facilitates easy attachment and stable positioning. Installation options include straps, clamps, or CNFL crimping sleeves, providing versatile mounting methods to suit various hose materials and application requirements. Overall, this fitting provides reliable, universal compatibility for rubber and plastic hose assemblies.

Can the BSPT Male Threaded End, AISI 304 Stainless Steel, CNP Type withstand exposure to saltwater or marine environments without additional corrosion protection?

BSPT Male Threaded End, AISI 304 Stainless Steel, CNP Type Format AISI 304 stainless steel offers good general corrosion resistance, but it is not the best choice for prolonged exposure to saltwater or harsh marine environments. In neutral or mildly corrosive industrial settings the BSPT Male Threaded End, AISI 304 Stainless Steel, CNP Type Format will perform well; however, in continuous or heavy saltwater contact (marine splash, immersion, brine, or coastal atmospheres) 304 is susceptible to pitting and crevice corrosion. For reliable long‑term service in marine conditions, additional corrosion protection or a more resistant material is recommended — options include AISI 316/316L stainless steel, protective coatings (e.g., epoxy, nickel), sacrificial anodes, or regular maintenance and inspection. If occasional brief exposure to seawater is expected and maintenance is frequent, 304 may be acceptable; for continuous or critical marine use choose 316 or apply specific protective measures.
