SMARTFLEX® 0.4 – Lightweight Hose for Bulk Material Extraction
This ultra-lightweight and highly flexible hose is engineered for efficient transport of air, dust, powders, fine wood shavings, chips, and other light bulk materials, making it an ideal solution for the woodworking and furniture industries as well as a wide range of industrial applications. Manufactured from transparent polyester-polyurethane and reinforced with a durable steel wire spiral, it combines excellent abrasion resistance with outstanding elasticity, even at low temperatures. Its antistatic and flame-retardant properties, compliant with DIN 26057 Type 1 and DIN 4102 class B1, ensure maximum workplace safety, while resistance to oils, gasoline, microbes, and hydrolysis guarantees long-lasting performance in demanding environments. The hose is permanently antistatic according to ISO 8031 and TRGS 727, and with proper double grounding of the spiral, it can be treated as electrically conductive in line with BGI 739-2, making it suitable for use in ATEX-regulated zones after risk assessment. Designed for easy installation with bridge clamps, it offers excellent compressibility, optimal flow direction marked by an arrow, and a wall thickness of 0.4 mm measured between the spiral. Operating reliably in temperatures from -40°C to +100°C (withstanding peaks up to +125°C), this hose delivers superior flexibility, safety, and durability, with additional diameters available upon request to meet specific project needs.
