SSC Shell Clamp for Steam End Installation
Heavy Duty shell clamps in the economical version are designed for secure and reliable installation of rubber hoses used for steam applications, ensuring optimal performance when mounting SSF type steam fittings. Produced in compliance with EN 14423 (DIN 2826), these clamps guarantee durability and safety in demanding operating conditions. Depending on the model, screws and nuts are manufactured either from galvanized steel for brass clamps or from stainless steel for stainless steel clamps, providing excellent resistance to corrosion and long service life. The correct clamp must be chosen based on the hose’s internal diameter and wall thickness, ensuring that the external diameter of the assembled hose remains within the specified clamping range. For initial tightening, long auxiliary screws are required to achieve proper positioning and secure fastening. Available in high-quality AISI 316 stainless steel or robust brass, these clamps are engineered to withstand operating temperatures up to +230°C and working pressures of 18 bar at +210°C with saturated steam. For other applications, the appropriate selection should be made in consultation with TUBES INTERNATIONAL®, ensuring the most efficient and safe solution tailored to specific industrial requirements.
